The HCM 1700 Raymond Mill is a high-performance pendulum grinding mill designed for non-metallic mineral powder processing. It is especially optimized for attapulgite (palygorskite) grinding, delivering a stable capacity of 3 tons per hour (TPH) with a finished fineness of 325 mesh.
1.Why Choose HCM 1700 Raymond Mill for Attapulgite?
Attapulgite, also known as palygorskite, is a fibrous clay mineral with strong adsorption, colloidal and catalytic properties. To maximize its industrial value, 325 mesh powder is the most common specification for applications in coatings, rubber, agriculture, environmental adsorption and chemical carriers.

Traditional small Raymond mills often struggle with consistent fineness and low output. The HCM 1700 Raymond Mill solves these pain points:
Stable 3 TPH output for attapulgite at 325 mesh
Fineness adjustable from 80 to 400 mesh
Low energy consumption compared with vertical mills
Durable grinding rollers & rings for long service life
Closed-circuit system to avoid dust pollution
2.Working Principle of HCM 1700 Raymond Mill for Attapulgite

Raw attapulgite ore (≤25mm) is fed into the grinding chamber.
Grinding rollers swing outward by centrifugal force, pressing tightly against the ring.
Plows shovel materials into the gap between roller and ring for grinding.
Fine powder is carried by airflow to the classifier; coarse powder falls back for regrinding.
Qualified 325 mesh attapulgite powder is collected by cyclone and discharged as final product.
